Does your family like to stay busy with fun activities during vacation? We want to help you to have experiences while you're here; making memories, soaking in the beautiful sites, absorbing the local culture. Below we will list activities and planned events that are taking place at the lodge and in the park, as well as links to area partners for fun activities located in our surrounding communities!
## Drone Show
*Remember: Lights in the Sky*
**Saturday, September 12, 2026**
Join us for a full day of family fun, community celebration, and patriotic pride as we honor America’s 250th Anniversary and commemorate the 25th Anniversary of September 11th. The day's festivities are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted, with afternoon activities, outdoor recreation, and family-friendly events for all ages.
As the sun sets, look to the sky for **Lights in the Sky**—a spectacular synchronized drone show featuring dazzling patriotic imagery, vibrant storytelling, and unforgettable moments above the lodge.

 ##### Christmas Big Band Gala
**November 21, 2026**
Swing into the holiday spirit with an unforgettable night of timeless music, elegance, and festive cheer. The tradition continues as Maumee Bay celebrates and hosts the **4th Annual Christmas Big Band Gala**—Oregon's ultimate holiday event of the season!

## State Park Programming
 ### Nature Center
The nature center offers an immersive experience for visitors. Interactive exhibits invite guests to step into the shoes of the early settlers navigating the Great Black Swamp or to experience the journey of migrating birds. A children’s play area replicates the iconic Toledo Harbor Lighthouse, which can be seen from the shores of Lake Erie outside the nature center.
